The Arbuckles moved to Irvington in the spring of 1996. They all participate in the landscaping business as time allows.
John started working for Arbuckle & Sons when he was in high school. He took over ownership in the 2007/2008 winter. John is our arborist and the cornerstone of this business. He is the person you will speak to when you reach out to us. Even though he works hard, he still finds time to go hiking and backpacking with Kitrina and for his favorite hobby, playing chess. John also volunteers in the Irvington neighborhood, giving back to our community with his time and energy.
Kitrina works for the business in several capacities, including labor. She uses her love of plants, especially natives, to create our distinct designs. Kitrina also takes the before & after pictures and maintains the social media pages, where she uses her background as a freelance writer and amateur photographer. She spends a lot of time in their garden and with the cat members of the team, Artemis and Bast. Kitrina enjoys hiking and backpacking and knits, sews, and reads in her spare time.
John Seamus graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Environmental Science through SPEA. He has studied in Vietnam, the Smoky Mountains, and worked on the digitization project at the IU Herbarium. He currently works at IU. He joins the family crew when time allows and is a valuable advisor to the business. John plays piano and loves cycling whenever he has the time.
Alexander works full-time in the landscaping business. He started his electric lawn care division and continues to work on several of Arbuckle & Sons jobs. His work ethic and intelligence have helped the business grow. He purchased his first home in 2018 and spends his time with his partner, Kwyn–a floral designer at George Thomas Florist– and their sweet animals. Alexander also plays guitar and he enjoys working on cars.
